Overview

DAW Controller ("the App") is a MIDI controller app from obbliworks. It turns your phone into Pitch Bend, Modulation, and other wheels and faders, and sends MIDI to a DAW on your computer over USB, Bluetooth, or your local network. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how.

Information We Collect

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All wheel layouts and preferences are stored locally on your device and are never sent to external servers. The App contains no analytics tools and no advertising SDKs.

MIDI Transmission (USB, Bluetooth & Local Network)

The App sends your wheel and fader gestures as MIDI messages to your own computer running a DAW, connected over USB, Bluetooth MIDI, or the same local Wi-Fi network. This is performance control data, not personally identifying information. It is sent only to your own device — it never passes through, and is never collected by, obbliworks or any third-party server. The Bluetooth and local-network permissions are used solely for this MIDI transmission.

In-App Purchases

The App offers a one-time (non-consumable) in-app purchase to keep using it after the trial period. Purchase transactions are processed entirely by the platform's store — Apple (App Store) on iOS or Google (Google Play) on Android — and are subject to their respective privacy policies. obbliworks does not receive or store your payment details.

Data Storage

All app settings, wheel layouts, and trial state are stored locally on your device using the operating system's standard local storage. This data is not accessible to us or any third party.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
